#WRECKED (in a good way) An email I received this week --->

I've been following your twitter account for years, and your stories are part of the reason I decided to dive into a relationship that for me was scary and messy, a friendship with a homeless woman introduced to me by one of my roommates. At first I didn't think that I could possibly be of benefit to her, most months I can barely pay rent and struggle to keep my own self put together. But eventually I found that all I needed to do was be a friend. And I wish more people would find friends like her, because this woman has taught me more about life than anyone else I know. And she's hilarious. Even working together, we've never been able to find her a job or a place to stay. This last year, though, I encouraged her to apply for scholarships and grants and college, so she would have something to do with her time and feel like she was at least moving somewhere. She just finished her first semester of college. I'm so proud of her.
